This interview with carol andrews was created as part of the 2018 Stories of Resistance, Resurgence, and Resilience workshops, at Sadleir House in Nogojiwanong (Peterborough) on the territory of the Michi Saagiig Anishinaabeg. This was an intergenerational LGBTQ2IA+ storytelling workshop, organized by Aging Activisms and PARN (Your Community AIDS Resource Network, which hosts the Rainbow Youth Program). Led by May Chazan and anya gwynne, along with a team of organizers, researchers, and facilitators: Jillian Ackert, Melissa Baldwin, Ziysah von Bieberstein, Nicole Dalmer, Mehrangiz Monsef, and Auden Palmer. Thanks to the Canada Research Chairs Program and the New Horizons for Seniors Program (Employment and Social Development Canada) for funding this work. Stories of Resistance, Resurgence, and Resilience is a multi-year project, bringing community activists together across generations and movements to share and record diverse stories of activism in Nogojiwanong (Peterborough). In the Fall 2016, as part of May Chazan's course WMST 4122H, and in collaboration with the Ontario Public Interest Research Group - Peterborough and the Trent Community Research Centre, Aging Activisms created the first 12 digital stories with social changers of different ages, abilities, and backgrounds. This effort is part of a multi-year project, bringing community activists together across generations and movements to share and record diverse stories of activism in Nogojiwanong / Peterborough.
