British Officer's Chair or "Safari" Chair

This chair was first designed in 1933. It is constructed with a walnut frame, and ox-hide leather seat and back. The dowel construction is quickly knocked down and reassembled. Klint is known as the founder of Danish Modern and is one of the designers whose chairs were produced by Fritz Hansen.

These chairs were chosen for the senior common room at Rubidge Hall. At the time of Trent University's 25th anniversary, 1989, one chair was located for display purposes in Otonabee College. Current status unknown.
