About This Exhibit

In an era of great change and development in post-secondary education in Ontario, it seemed timely to create a web site to memorialize and capture the essence of Ron Thom's building designs and structures at Trent University. Thom, as Master Architect, was also instrumental in choosing for the University many treasures of modern design. Over the years, many of these treasures have disappeared, and it seemed expedient, as well, before they disappeared completely, to create a site to memorialize their existence.

As creator of this exhibit, Trent University Archives would be most pleased to learn of items of furniture of other designers whose works were chosen for Trent at its inception, that may have been missed.
