Sunday.

The hotel marked at the top of the cliff is a British Hosp. and the house below marked is where we are living. A lot of this may be censored and if you don't know the name of the place don't worry. There are so many theories regarding what may be said and what may not be said that I haven't any idea how much of this will ever reach you. To-day we had to crawl out for breakfast at 730 and afterwards we walked along the quay till 930 when we

place hunting mussels and cockles. As I write Miss Elliott and I are sitting on the shore. The sea is the most wonderful blue and dotted [with] fishing boats [of] red, blue, yellow and white sails making a lovely picture. Our tents will be pitched along the top of this cliff somewhere and we are all looking forward to getting into them. The tents will hold 2 and will have wooden floors - as we have our own cots etc. we can fix them up to be very comfortable I think. We go into raptures continually over the beauty of the place and verily our lives have fallen in pleasant places

You can imagine what a walk it is up all these steps. This must sound very disjointed but we stop so often to gaze around that it is not conducive to consecutive thought. This will be a grand place for the boys to recuperate. This air is the most exhilarating possible. I am not saying much about the hospitals and wounded as it is not permissible so you can fill in the gaps from the papers. We go on duty to-night from 5 to 8 in no. 3 British and will take our turns there until our own is ready. Most of the doctors are Toronto men two Majors are from Grace - Gilmour & Clarke
