Greening the schoolyard
The schoolyard plays an important role in the healthy development of students and is a space that can be used not only for academic learning, but also for fostering a sense of community. 'Greening' or building natural environments in schoolyards can enhance the overall educational experience of the child, and may even have an impact later in in their adult life., 1.
